SU Rub-Ons

Published by stampingirl under Uncategorized

are ADDICTING!!! They are just so stinkin’ easy to use! They go on smoothly and STAY where you put them, which is just about anywhere…

This first one is a birthday card for my sister. We share the same birthday two years apart… Can you believe that? Well, being born in March (the 21st), our birthstone is Aquamarine. The flowers on this first card has SU’s light blue rhinestone brads that to me look just like our birthstone. How perfect is that???

Easter Cards

Published by stampingirl under Uncategorized

Easter is a very important holiday but somehow I just can’t resist making cutesy Easter cards instead of the more traditional, religious cards. I guess because I typically make them for my nieces and nephews… All of which are really too young to understand that Easter is more than just the bunny bringing goodies…

Happy Birthday Ellie!!!

Published by stampingirl under Uncategorized

My sweet lil’ niece is turning 1!!!

In my plan to make her birthday card - I realized that I don’t have ANY baby sets!!!  How did that happen???  So, I reached for my SAB sets.  Ya’ can’t go wrong with good ‘ol Happy Birthday, right?  She’s one.  She can’t read yet and she’s a girl so she automatically LOVES pink like her FAVORITE aunt… *wink*

This one’s for you my sweet Ellie!  *mwah*

Where has the time gone???

Published by stampingirl under Uncategorized

I can’t believe that it’s almost MARCH!!! Seems like yesterday we were just unwrapping Christmas presents!!!

I think I may have jinxed myself in one of my earlier posts that my kids were finally well. DD just spent 4 days in the hospital being diagnosed with systemic juvenile rheumatoid arthritis. All is well now and we are home and getting back to normal… *fingers crossed*

I have a few things that I had done previously but not had time to post and then a few new things that I have been working on.

Drum roll please…

Published by stampingirl under Uncategorized

This is by far the CUTEST 3-D project I have ever done!!! I made 15 of these lil’ baskets in no time flat (thanks to Camilicious and her wonderful tutorial!!!) I had so much fun making these. BTW, I CASE’d Cambria’s cutesy lil’ duck from her card here! It seems that I have a slight Cami addiction happening, huh? Hey - does that make me a stalker???

More Happy Heart Day goodies

Published by stampingirl under Uncategorized

I have been trying to use more of the SU Print Pack and SU designer papers that I just HAD to HAVE but NEVER used…  I seem to get stuck when I try adding designer paper and it’s very frustrating.  I love the way it looks on everyone else’s cards and I want to use it so BADLY!!!  Especially since there seems to be more and more cute paper every time I turn around!!!  I must admit that I am very pleased with the way these turned out.  I just love this elephant!!!  So stinkin’ cute!

Have A Happy Saturday!

Happy Heart Day…

Published by stampingirl under Uncategorized

has to be one of the cutest Valentine’s sets I have seen in a long time!!! I am so in love with the cute lil’ mouse and oh so darlin’ elephant!!! They are perfect for G’s pre-k class goodies. He liked them ‘cuz they’re not girly… girls don’t like mice or elephants!

I have been working on a few things (now that my monsters are FINALLY well again…) *knock on wood* so I am hoping to keep my blog and my SCS gallery updated as much as possible now.

Help Me - Cards For Coy

Published by stampingirl under Uncategorized

I don’t normally do this sort of thing BUT this story just hits way too close to home!!! My 1st baby was whisked away from me and taken to the NICU at a hospital in another town just six hours after he was born. He was a full term, 8 lb. 14 oz. c-section, born with e-coli infection in his system. He had to stay in the NICU for 14 days on antitiotics. I will never forget the feeling I first had when I entered the NICU. I was absolutely beside myself with pain, frustration, anger… Why me? Then as I walked through the doors, I saw my baby boy, bigger than a football laying in a bed he was really too big for. In the bed next to him was a baby that looked something like a newborn gerbil. It was so scary to see something that small, knowing it was a baby made it worse and then knowing he probably wouldn’t survive just crushed me. Most of all, it made me realize just how lucky we were to be there. That they found this infection in my baby purely by accident. In the end, we were able to bring him home and start our new family and today he is a healthy 5 year old boy.

Some families aren’t that lucky.

Coy and his parents are one of those families. He has been in the NICU over six weeks now. Everyday is different. I can’t imagine the roller coaster ride that this poor family is going through.

My prayers are with them every moment of every day.

I am requesting RAK’s for this family on SCS. You can read that here.

If you would like to help out by sending a card of encouragement to this family let me know.

To check the progress of Coy visit Pray For Coy.

*Please Note that I am not trying to get money donations of any kind to or for this family. I only wish them the best and want to let them know that they are not alone in this time of need.
