Help Me - Cards For Coy

Published by stampingirl under Uncategorized

I don’t normally do this sort of thing BUT this story just hits way too close to home!!! My 1st baby was whisked away from me and taken to the NICU at a hospital in another town just six hours after he was born. He was a full term, 8 lb. 14 oz. c-section, born with e-coli infection in his system. He had to stay in the NICU for 14 days on antitiotics. I will never forget the feeling I first had when I entered the NICU. I was absolutely beside myself with pain, frustration, anger… Why me? Then as I walked through the doors, I saw my baby boy, bigger than a football laying in a bed he was really too big for. In the bed next to him was a baby that looked something like a newborn gerbil. It was so scary to see something that small, knowing it was a baby made it worse and then knowing he probably wouldn’t survive just crushed me. Most of all, it made me realize just how lucky we were to be there. That they found this infection in my baby purely by accident. In the end, we were able to bring him home and start our new family and today he is a healthy 5 year old boy.

Some families aren’t that lucky.

Coy and his parents are one of those families. He has been in the NICU over six weeks now. Everyday is different. I can’t imagine the roller coaster ride that this poor family is going through.

My prayers are with them every moment of every day.

I am requesting RAK’s for this family on SCS. You can read that here.

If you would like to help out by sending a card of encouragement to this family let me know.

To check the progress of Coy visit Pray For Coy.

*Please Note that I am not trying to get money donations of any kind to or for this family. I only wish them the best and want to let them know that they are not alone in this time of need.
