New look

Published by stampingirl under Uncategorized

Daven, being the AWESOME DUDE that he is, gave us some new themes to play with so I will be switching things around a little bit this weekend trying to find one that *suits* me and make sure there are no glitches.  If you notice anything funky or if something seems off, let me know and I’ll try to take care of it.  Thanks.

DPC…

Published by stampingirl under Uncategorized

I have come to the conclusion that I am Designer Paper Challenged (DPC)!!! I have seen so many wonderful creations over at SplitcoastStampers using beautiful DP and I just cannot make it work for me. I just recently got the Designer Series Double-Sided Paper from Stampin’ Up! so thought I’d give it a try… It was quite a struggle for me.  Getting the layout right, deciding what stamp set to use with it and finally to add matching colors!  Some relaxation time - I had a headache when I was done!!!  Let me know what you think. What am I missing??

A little bit of Easter…

Published by stampingirl under Uncategorized

Don’t know why but I did not realize that Easter was coming so soon. So, that being said I had to get busy working the inks. (Like I’m a pro or something… Sheesh!)

Anyhoo, I just luv these cute little bunnies - so friendly and springy. Yeah SPRING!!! I still have to come up with an Easter idea for G’s preschool class but at least my easter cards are done.

Moving away

Published by stampingirl under Uncategorized

Being *married to the NAVY* you tend to make really good friends that you know will eventually be moving away (if you don’t move away first…) Well, I have one such friend. We were stationed together in GA almost 6 years ago (where we were both pregnant with our first baby together…my eating buddy… ) and were very lucky to be transferred to CT together. It has been nice because neither of us have family close by and our kids now play toghether. I guess we knew it would happen one day… the move we didn’t want! She and her family are moving to New Hampshire this summer and my family will be moving to (we think) Washington in October. I am excited to be going somewhere different but at the same time very sad to know that my best friend won’t be coming with me… My 4 year old son is supposed to marry her 4 year old daughter… NOW WHAT!!!???

This is for her!!!

For some reason…

Published by stampingirl under Uncategorized

I am stuck on the Cool Caribbean and Pretty In Pink this weekend. Think it looks goooood…

My sister and I share the same birthday, TWO years apart and so I made this for her birthday next week. She is in Texas and just had her 2nd baby girl, Ellie, in March. So, now I have another March birthday to add to my calendar!

Quick girly card

Published by stampingirl under Uncategorized

I needed a quick girly card and just LOVE this set so here it is. The colors are very different for me… I don’t usually use brights, I’m more of a soft colors kinda gal. Not sure about the black ribbon though. Too bold?

Still working on it…

Published by stampingirl under Uncategorized

I have finally had some time to stamp so I took advantage of that and hope to have more time this weekend since I new rubbah to play with!!!

Okay, so I have been dying to play with this set… who hasn’t? I finally get it mounted and ready to use when… wham! NO IDEAS!!! Don’t you just hate when that happens??? So, what’s a girl to do but start with a fave combo?! Blue and yellow is one of my favorite faves! It’s calming, it’s bright, it’s everything I need to get started… So, this is the end result.
